Day 3 Bus Tour
Clackmannan Parish Church of Scotland
Old Saline Cemetery – Burial location of the parents of John Hardie – John and Isabella Cousin Hardie. Their tombstone was severely damaged when we visited in 2000. Efforts to restore the monument have stalled. Perhaps this visit will inspire a new effort!
Kinross – Perhaps we will be able to visit John & J.H. Sands Ironmongers (hardware store) as we did in 2000. This store was established by John Hardie’s brother Joseph and continued in operation by the Sands family until it was only recently sold out of the family.
Day 4 Bus Tour
Scone Palace – Perth
Famous Grouse Experience – at Glenturret Distillery in Creiff – Scotland’s Oldest Operating Distillery. Lunch at Wild Thyme.
Doune Castle – Among other attributes, filming location for Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Game of Thrones and Outlander.
